An academic, entrepreneur, and acclaimed researcher in applying probabilistic models and reasoning, David Barber serves as a special advisor to all UiPath AI teams. He is also Director of the UCL Centre for Artificial Intelligence, which develops next-generation AI techniques, as well as a Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute. He also co-founded communications mining company Re:infer (acquired by UiPath in 2022).

An engineer as well as a researcher, Gabriel brings our AI products and innovations to life through his expertise in practical coding, model building, and fine-tuning. To do so, he draws on his years of experience in building and shipping data-driven industrial solutions based on machine-learning models, as well as his open-ended industrial and scientific research in a range of disciplines. Gabriel holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Oregon.
