UiPath presenting and exhibiting its agentic automation capabilities at Microsoft Ignite Nov. 19-21 in Chicago
Enhanced integration brings UiPath Autopilot to 300 million Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams users
NEW YORK, NY – Nov. 18, 2024 – UiPath (NYSE: PATH), a leading enterprise automation and AI software company, today announced at the Microsoft Ignite conference the availability of its enhanced agent for Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams, allowing joint customers access to UiPath enterprise-grade automation capabilities from anywhere they use Copilot for Microsoft 365 or Teams.
Thousands of workers are already using UiPath and Microsoft together to automate end-to-end, complex workflows and business processes running on Microsoft 365 applications. The UiPath Autopilot agent is a conversational Teams agent built using UiPath’s own large language model-based digital assistant Autopilot and its web app Orchestrator. Autopilot can also access UI or API automations built by a user or by their organization’s center of excellence and easily run them as part of a user’s workflow.
The agent will help workers to interact directly with UiPath Autopilot from Teams and will offer a broad range of capabilities, like suggesting which automations are needed to complete tasks, filling out parameters from context, recommending next steps, and stitching together automations to automate complex workflows. Employees benefit from adding UiPath Autopilot as a collaborator while staying in Teams where they’re already working, while making use of enterprise knowledge via access to Microsoft Graph and the robust set of automations from UiPath’s platform. UiPath context grounding ensures UiPath Autopilot queries the right knowledge sources from within a user’s enterprise for its actions.
For example, loan officers can now process loan requests directly through Teams by simply asking for a summary of loan applications received, asking UiPath to submit for approval and perform the required background checks for clients, handle email communication with customers, and even obtain digital signatures to lock in rates.
Dhruv Asher, Senior Vice President of Technology Alliances at UiPath, said:
“Agentic automation and AI now give agents the capabilities to automate complex, probabilistic, and highly variable workflows that massively expand the surface area of automation and open many key enterprise processes to end-to-end automation."
Giovanni Mezgec, Vice President, Modern Work + Business Applications Field & Partner Marketing, Microsoft Corp., said:
“Through Microsoft AppSource, customers around the world can easily find tailored line-of-business partner solutions that work with the products they already use. We’re happy to welcome UiPath Autopilot to the growing AppSource ecosystem, which now includes the Teams Store.”
UiPath Autopilot integration with Microsoft Teams
The integration of UiPath Autopilot, an AI companion that streamlines common work tasks, and Microsoft Teams creates a powerful productivity combination, enabling employees to leverage AI-powered automations within the communications app they use daily. UiPath Autopilot in Microsoft Teams allows knowledge workers to collaborate with and control transformative automations without needing to open separate applications.
The UiPath Autopilot integration with Microsoft Teams enables users to:
- Discover and run automations: users can easily tap into robust UiPath automation capabilities directly from their familiar Microsoft Teams interface
- End-to-end workflow automation: seamlessly automate complex workflows that span across multiple applications and systems from within Teams
- Add UiPath Autopilot as a collaborator to any conversation: just reference @Autopilot in any Teams chat or channel
