UiPath Community: Reflecting on 2024's milestones

2024 was the year when the UiPath Community celebrated its growth and capacity to get immersed in the future of agentic automation. We reached a milestone with more than 3 million people that joined us. This achievement was possible given the strong connection of the community. We have hosted more than 530 community with representation in more than 86 countries. The support of the involved chapter leaders of our community is key to this fulfillment. Developing together locally with this multicultural community shows how much passion comes with every interaction.

The MVPs and all our community champions had plenty of opportunities to come together and exchange ideas at MVP Summits, FORWARD+TechEd, DevCon, and Community Days hosted in cities like Singapore, Dubai, Sydney, Hyderabad, New York, Amsterdam, Istanbul, and Warsaw, just to name a few out. Each of these gatherings brought together product leaders, MVPs, and community champions, who are contributing to the new agentic market that is shaping the technological landscape.

While the community is used to sharing the stage, this year, we invested more in ‌community experts who hosted innovative product sessions themselves. Chapter leaders together with product leaders were present, highlighting the synergy that helps us build ongoing relevant products.

The agentic era started with community members collectively sharing their knowledge, researching, and showcasing demos in private groups. We proposed and developed formats like: product circles, feedback sessions, hackathons, research white paper dedicated to the agentic category. Professionals like Lahiru, Oumayma Lajili, Russel Alfeche, Sharon Palawandram, Mukesh Kala, created content specific to agentic like:

While the community shares valuable content on different social media platforms, there is also intense collaboration between our champions and UiPath product experts, making sure that feedback is getting collected, relevant use cases are being shaped, and new functionalities are being validated. The three MVP summits hosted in Seattle, Bucharest, and Jaipur were key moments that defined the innovative path of our platform.

You can always be in touch with the latest projects of our top professionals and contributors through their dedicated directory on the UiPath Forum. Getting upskilled into the current and future of automation technology was a priority for more than 40,000 professionals and students who joined us in many series and programs that we hosted on virtual stages or in-person venues. With an average of four events per person, there were many opportunities for engagement and hands-on demos. To highlight a few of the programs:

• AI Associate Developer Series hosted more than 3800 participants and 15 speakers and mentors.

• Business Analyst Associate Series hosted more than 2,325 participants and 12 speakers.

• GenAI Automation Patchala, hosted by Nisarg Kadam, had more than 1850 participants.

• DevDives and Connector Corner series hosted monthly events, with a total of more than 3300 unique attendees.

Initiatives to empower talent across communities expanded. We developed and hosted programs like: Women in Automation, Veterans in Automation, partnerships to upskill students in Latam communities, India, Nigeria, and several other countries around the world. With key partners like Dream To Succeed, Naan Mudhalvan – Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, and Her Second Innings, we managed to be successful in motivating a new generation of students to consider their careers in automation. We attracted more than 19,000 students to learn in engaging sessions and participate in dedicated courses on the UiPath Academy.

The students also led their way in automation with the help of 108 Student Champions across 12 countries. They hosted sessions and a series of hackathons to practice their skills in developing automated workflows. Just this year, we reached more than 32,000 new students with the help of the student champions.

The Test Community showed great interest in joining us in the dedicated events hosted in our ecosystem, but also in the events we hosted in the Test Tribe Community. We engaged more than 16,000 professionals dedicated to testing automation, and we continue to nurture this persona given the great developments in agentic testing.

The AI User Group community was also a great partner in generating participation through in-person events and workshops. This initiative helped us reach software developers based in New York, San Francisco, Austin, and Los Angeles.

We learned about the new generation of AI automation professionals with the help of the State of the Automation Professional report.

• Automation professionals already had adopted AI functionalities, and they were getting ready to adopt even further.

• More than 70% plan to get certified and continue their career in automation.

The Community Forum hosted more than 20,000 new individual topics with engaging conversations and millions of pageviews every month. It also invited members to solve multiple challenges and use cases or to get fun badges for quizzes on the latest product releases. We keep in touch with 37,000 of you with the help of the Community Newsletter that delivers practical resources and key information to stay up to date in the automation space.‌ Make sure you subscribe!
