Carrot Fertility: supporting our UiPathers and their families

Forming a family is deeply personal, and no two journeys are the same. That's why all paths to parenthood are equally supported here at UiPath. In line with our commitment, in April 2022, we've joined forces with Carrot Fertility to offer comprehensive fertility and family-forming benefits that encompass every possibility. As we approach our one-year anniversary, we reflect on the positive impact this partnership has made on the lives of our colleagues. One UiPather, who wished to remain anonymous, shared the difference Carrot has made for them along their journey to parenthood.

Carrot has many offerings, which offering(s) did/do you use?

I have used the Carrot plan to reimburse costs for private consultation with a fertility specialist, and to cover the cost of fertility supplements that were recommended by the specialist.

Why is this benefit meaningful to you?

My wife and I are trying for our first child and have been struggling to get pregnant. This is obviously a very stressful situation to be in, and there are various decisions and choices to be made, and often a lot of waiting around for medical appointments and information when all you really want is to make something happen. Taking the financial factor out of these decisions is a huge weight off our shoulders and made us much more comfortable moving forward with consultations and possible treatments rather than delaying our family planning for the sake of not spending the money.

Although it's still early in the process, knowing that we may soon need to consider intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro vertilization (IVF), which can be extremely expensive, it's a comfort knowing that a significant portion of that can be taken care of by UiPath via Carrot. We just feel like we have more options available to us without having to worry about the cost.

Anything else you'd like to share?

It's maybe a small thing, but the customer service at Carrot has been awesome. I've contacted them twice with questions about what is eligible for reimbursement, and they've responded super quickly both times and have been really helpful. Again, things like this just make a stressful situation a little less stressful.
